Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abdur Rahman delivered an invited keynote at the International Conference on Computer and Information Technology (ICCIT) 2025 held in Bangladesh — one of the most prominent computer science conferences in South Asia, bringing together researchers, academics, and practitioners from across the region and the world.
The keynote explored the rapidly evolving landscape of AI-driven cybersecurity, with a focus on autonomous multi-agentic defence systems capable of detecting, analysing, and responding to advanced cyber threats without human intervention. The address also covered OT security for critical national infrastructure, the use of swarm intelligence for distributed threat detection, and research directions at UPM's Cybersecurity Department.
The keynote was warmly received, sparking discussions on AI ethics in security, academic-industry collaboration, and Bangladesh's evolving cybersecurity landscape.
